Sorrento represents a significant strategic evolution within the DAMAC Lagoons master community — a 45-million Sq.Ft waterfront destination in Dubailand, divided into eight themed clusters inspired by iconic Mediterranean coastal cities. While the community’s earlier phases — Santorini, Venice, Costa Brava, Andalusia, Morocco, Malta, Nice, and Portofino — focused primarily on low-density villas and townhouses, Sorrento marks the deliberate introduction of mid-rise, high-density residential buildings (G+6 to G+9) into the master plan. This shift is a calculated response to rising demand for entry-level waterfront assets within the Dubailand corridor, and it broadens the community’s appeal to a wider spectrum of buyers and investors.
The master plan is structured around crystal-clear lagoons spanning 176,650 Sq.M — equivalent to over 140 Olympic swimming pools — with all residential clusters arranged to maximise water frontage, green views, and pedestrian connectivity. Internal walkways, cycling paths, and community hubs link every cluster without requiring residents to use main roads. Retail outlets, restaurants, schools, medical centres, and a community mall are distributed throughout the master plan, creating a genuinely self-sufficient neighbourhood for 39,000+ planned residents.
